About the position

The Practice Manager at The Dermatology House is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a full-service dermatology clinic. This role involves managing human resources, billing, compliance, and business development while ensuring high-quality patient care and effective communication among staff and patients. The Practice Manager will work closely with the physician/owner to implement policies, improve service lines, and maintain a welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Ensuring adequate staffing and management of staff schedules.
  • Managing providers' templates for efficient appointment scheduling.
  • Coaching and training team members to provide high-quality patient care and customer service.
  • Holding team members accountable for their tasks/responsibilities and performing regular performance reviews.
  • Maintaining effective and open communication with all stakeholders, including physician/owner, team members, patients, vendors, and sales representatives.
  • Managing supply chain for medical supplies, cosmetic supplies, skincare products, and office supplies.
  • Improving and/or developing and implementing office policies and protocols.
  • Overseeing & monitoring medical and cosmetic billing practices and resolving patient complaints regarding billing.
  • Improving and developing service lines, for example, advanced esthetics.
  • Monitoring and presenting key performance indicators (KPIs) to physician/owner and team members.
  • Leading/participating in daily staff huddles and monthly staff meetings.
  • Overseeing regular service and maintenance of in-office equipment and being liaison for facilities.
  • Ensuring all federal and state laws and guidelines are followed (e.g., OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, FMLA).
  • Maintaining current licensures and CPR for clinical staff, and ensuring that medical records are properly stored and released.

Requirements

  • Experience in practice management or the delivery of healthcare services in a managerial role, preferably in dermatologic settings.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
