About the position

The Practice Manager for the Urgent Care center is responsible for overseeing the operations of the facility, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing both clinical and non-clinical staff. This role involves business development, compliance with healthcare regulations, and participation in community outreach to promote the center's services. The Practice Manager will also coordinate patient care activities and maintain operational efficiency to support the growth of the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to both clinical and non‐clinical staff, including scheduling, task assignment, and conflict resolution.
  • Encourage teamwork and open communication to ensure high-quality service to patients and the community.
  • Utilize resources to meet clinical and fiscal targets set by the organization.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to enhance operations and increase revenues.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives and community events to promote the practice.
  • Coordinate and participate in patient care activities, including vital signs and medication administration.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance, HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards.
  • Evaluate patient care and maintain liaison with physicians for effective service delivery.
  • Assist with medical supplies and equipment setup for procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appropriate inventory of medical supplies in patient areas.
  • Contribute to patient care through education and resource distribution.
  • Represent the company with respect and care towards patients and families.
  • Problem-solve independently to obtain patient information when necessary.
  • Participate in policy development for patient comfort and safety.
  • Review and approve staff payroll and follow up on patient complaints.
  • Ensure facility maintenance and control inventory of supplies.
  • Review and approve invoices for payment and prepare daily activity reports.
  • Assist patients with aftercare instructions and follow-up appointments.
  • Review charts for completion and assist with payer contracts as needed.
  • Attend management team meetings and maintain competence through continuing education.

Requirements

  • Prior healthcare management experience required.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program and a Registered Nurse in the State of GA required.
  • 2-4 years prior clinical experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery setting.
  • Patient assessment skills.
  • High degree of verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to address and resolve conflict professionally.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.
