About the position

The Practice Manager of Operations at East Avenue Dental Care is a leadership role focused on supporting the business needs of the dental practice while fostering a strong team culture. This position involves collaborating closely with the Doctor to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care and achieving business goals through effective team management and development.

Responsibilities

  • Strive towards mastery of role by completing all PMO Training needed to develop technical, commitment, and leadership skills.
  • Develop and pursue annual top 10 business goals and 16 personal development goals.
  • Ensure goals and priorities of Doctors and teams are achieved through servant leadership.
  • Support the Doctor Led, Hygiene Driven, Operations focus philosophy through synergy meetings and team meetings.
  • Create alignment with the doctor through daily one-on-ones and weekly touch points discussing communication and support needed.
  • Commit to serving as a business partner for the Doctor, collaborating on financial goals.
  • Help Doctor prioritize, plan, and block schedule for continuing education.
  • Understand the benefits and metrics of DMP and help Doctor monitor progress.
  • Identify and support future team growth by selecting candidates that are a good match for the practice.
  • Partner with Doctors to identify skills needed for open positions and proper selection team within the practice.
  • Successfully onboard new team members through partnerships with recruiting and support office.
  • Support team members to prioritize and plan their training for growth in their roles.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree or 3 - 5 years' leadership experience in a professional office, hospitality, retail, banking, or medical setting.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
  • Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Trustworthy; maintain patient confidentiality and team ethics.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1+ years of experience in a dental or medical setting.
  • 1+ years of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable.
  • Dentrix or other dental software experience.
