About the position

The Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of one or more medical practices, ensuring optimal site operations, and providing leadership to staff. This role involves collaborating with healthcare providers to deliver quality care, managing office operations, and supporting the development and training of associates. The Practice Manager plays a crucial role in financial management, strategic growth planning, and maintaining effective communication within the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple providers and associates at various site locations.
  • Ensure optimal site operations in collaboration with the Health First Team.
  • Partner with providers to ensure timely and quality care.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to associates within the provider practice.
  • Oversee all aspects of office operations including training and development of associates.
  • Estimate personnel needs and assign work to meet fiscal targets.
  • Support system goals and ensure consistent application of organization policies.
  • Provide strategic leadership for practice growth and administration.
  • Collaborate with leadership and providers to develop and implement strategic growth plans.
  • Manage financial practices including bank reconciliations, cash control, and budget management.
  • Ensure coordination of work activities and staff schedules for daily operations.
  • Oversee training of new staff and continued training of existing staff.
  • Lead office staff teams in hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Review monthly/quarterly practice reporting and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure effective communication with all staff and providers regarding policies and procedures.
  • Maintain supplies, inventory, and ordering processes within the office site.
  • Monitor and communicate risk and quality issues to appropriate parties.
  • Implement staff performance management conversations in accordance with policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of healthcare/leadership experience.
  • 3+ years in a Manager/Leadership position.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and financial practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • CPC/CPB or CPPM certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge and utilization of all Microsoft products preferred.
