About the position

The Practice Manager / Team Lead - Operational & Financial Audit at Siemens is responsible for setting the strategy and leading multiple audit engagements. This role involves planning, fieldwork, closing meetings, and final reporting, utilizing an agile audit methodology. The position requires strong leadership skills to guide a team of 3-5 direct reports, ensuring their professional growth while identifying key risks in Siemens's operational and financial environment. The manager will leverage data analysis and technology-driven auditing techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, while also maintaining client relationships with senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy and lead multiple audit engagements through planning, fieldwork, closing meetings, and final reporting.
  • Lead a team of 3-5 direct reports, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Identify key risks in Siemens's operational and financial environment and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Leverage data analysis and technology-driven auditing techniques to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Champion continuous process improvement and adapt audit approaches to changing business environments.
  • Fully own the client relationship with senior management during engagements.
  • Collaborate closely with CF A Heads of Assurance Practice/Region to align on conclusions and communication towards clients.
  • Lead audit closing meetings with senior management and effectively communicate findings.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional work within Siemens or a large accounting or consulting firm, serving reputable, publicly-listed companies as clients.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in at least two of the following areas: Audit, Project/Commercial Project Management, Digitalization, Engineering, Financial Reporting, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Risk Management and Internal Control, or Strategy.
  • Demonstrates purposeful and empathetic leadership with a commitment to integrity.
  • Exceptional agility in leadership and project management within complex, global organizational structures.
  • Outstanding communication skills emphasizing active listening, factual persuasion, and strong business insight.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time, including international travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • An MBA or Master's degree is strongly preferred.
  • Credentials such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Project Management Professional (PMP) or ACCA are advantageous.
  • A strong desire to develop into future leadership roles within the organization.
  • Prior experience in an international business environment, with a keen interest and aptitude for working in and leading diverse teams.
  • Candidates with experience in managerial positions will be given preference.
  • Additional language proficiency is a plus.
