About the position
The Practice Manager at Palomar Health Medical Group is responsible for leading and facilitating the overall operations and success of the clinical site. This role ensures high levels of service and productivity while coordinating interactions among patients, physicians, and team members. The Practice Manager oversees both clinical and non-clinical operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and is involved in strategic planning and financial performance of the practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate overall operations of the clinical site.
- Ensure compliance with established regulations and standards including quality assurance and medical records documentation.
- Develop and implement practice standards and oversee financial performance tasks.
- Monitor progress for onboarding and offboarding tasks associated with providers.
- Supervise support staff to ensure optimal patient flow and high clinical quality.
- Communicate with departments to resolve problems and improve relations.
- Serve as a key problem-solving resource for staff on patient issues.
- Collaborate with leadership on clinic goals, policies, and budget plans.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators related to revenue cycle and patient satisfaction.
- Facilitate medical practice meetings related to clinic effectiveness.
- Assist with budget planning and approve department expenditures.
- Ensure staff training on HIPAA requirements and excellent customer service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred in health or business administration.
- 2-3 years of experience required; 3-5 years preferred.
- CPR Certification required.
