About the position

The Practice Operations Coordinator at Children's National Hospital is responsible for providing administrative and business leadership support to the pediatricians and associates. This role involves coordinating clinic operations, including scheduling, clinic flow, and charge capture, while emphasizing customer service, patient satisfaction, and staff development. The coordinator will work closely with the Practice Operations Manager and other management team members to maintain a productive environment and ensure excellent internal and external customer relations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinic operations including scheduling, clinic flow, and charge capture.
  • Assist in training, mentoring, and developing staff.
  • Monitor clinic metrics such as visit volume, wait times, and patient service charges.
  • Participate in the implementation and evaluation of services and performance standards.
  • Provide daily support for staff activities and troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Assist in the oversight and completion of specific projects and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational, state, and federal regulatory standards.
  • Anticipate and respond to customer needs, ensuring satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of physician practice experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of physician billing practices and clinical workflow.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
