About the position

The Operations Coordinator at Ambulatory Anesthesia Care (AAC) plays a crucial role in supporting the operational excellence of anesthesia practices in the Pacific Northwest. This position is focused on managing clinical and administrative teams, driving profitability, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and AAC best practices. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter dedicated to practice growth through process efficiency and collaboration with local leadership and clinicians.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for practice's operational KPIs and monitoring client profitability.
  • Work closely with Anesthesia Scheduling Coordinator to maximize bundling and anesthesiologists/dental anesthesia assistant utilization.
  • Collaborate with the clinical/operational leadership team to optimize workflows.
  • Lead anesthesiologist recruitment, negotiate compensation packages, and oversee the onboarding process.
  • Participate in the hiring of dental anesthesia assistants and lead compensation discussions with new hires.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Talent Success Team (TST) and Business Development (BD) teams.
  • Coordinate BD requests for clinical meetings and assist with all BD efforts.
  • Attend TST/BD events as necessary.
  • Help ensure adherence to regulatory standards, track quality metrics, and support performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, preferably in surgical or anesthesia practices.
  • Experience and/or aptitude for building close working relationships with clinical and administrative teams.
  • Ability to collaborate, coordinate, and troubleshoot with key stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with key performance metrics for practice profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Candidates must be local to Washington or Oregon with preference for Seattle or Portland base.
