About the position

The Practice Supervisor at Mount Sinai Union Square is responsible for managing the daily operations of the ambulatory practice, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role involves supervising front-end staff, handling scheduling issues, addressing patient concerns, and participating in performance monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assist staff with day-to-day activities including clinic and physician scheduling, call volumes, and adherence to service standards.
  • Review staff appointment scheduling for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with the Administrator or members of the Medical Team regarding scheduling decisions as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of daily, monthly, and year-end reporting.
  • Create training materials and scheduling guidelines, and provide continued training for staff.
  • Maintain high quality levels of customer service and data integrity in managing patient calls.
  • Provide guidance and assistance with escalated MyChart calls.
  • Ensure appropriate reimbursement for services.
  • Plan and organize orientation and in-service training for staff on insurance verification and co-pay collection procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, supervisory role, and healthcare setting preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $62,571.36 - $88,900.00 annually based on experience and education.
