About the position
The internship position in the field of sustainability at Magna Powertrain offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in operational tasks while contributing to current sustainability projects and communications. Interns will analyze sustainability requirements in the supply chain and assist in the implementation of legal obligations related to sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Support current sustainability projects and communications.
- Assist in implementing the requirements of the Supply Chain Act.
- Analyze compliance with sustainability requirements in the supply chain.
- Support the creation of Life Cycle Assessments (LCA).
- Conduct further analyses and research on specific sustainability topics (e.g., ASI, Responsible Steel, Rare Earths, 3TG).
- Contribute to the development of processes within the sustainability management system.
Requirements
- Motivated and engaged students in natural sciences (e.g., environmental management) or business administration (e.g., sustainability management).
- Willingness to commit to a minimum duration of 4 to 6 months starting immediately.
Nice-to-haves
- Basic knowledge of raw material supply chains and supply chain management.
- Basic knowledge in the area of LCA (Life Cycle Assessment).
- Initial knowledge of sustainability standards (e.g., ISO 14001, SA 8000, ISO 26000, Global Compact, SDGs).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and German.
- Team player in an intercultural context, organizational talent, and high self-motivation.
