About the position

The Pre and Post Op Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the surgical team by ensuring a positive patient experience during the admission, anesthesia, and discharge stages of surgery. This part-time position requires collaboration with the Lead RN and other assistants to maintain a comfortable and efficient environment for patients, upholding the philosophy of quality care at the Pacific Cataract & Laser Institute.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead RN and other assistants in providing patient care during surgical procedures.
• Ensure a comfortable and non-stressful environment for patients throughout their surgical experience.
• Assist in the admission, anesthesia, and discharge processes for patients.
• Uphold the PCLI philosophy of quality and caring treatment of patients and staff in all daily activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients to instill confidence in the care they receive.
