About The Position

The Pre Apprenticeship Advanced and Aerospace Manufacturing program is a no-cost, multiweek training initiative designed to provide foundational skills and education for individuals seeking careers in aerospace and advanced manufacturing. This program is open to all Washington residents aged 18 and older, regardless of prior experience, and emphasizes inclusivity by encouraging applications from women and BIPOC individuals.

Requirements

• Must be a Washington State resident.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Legally allowed to work in the U.S.
• Ability to attend in-person classes Monday through Friday.
• Mandatory attendance and punctuality are required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in manufacturing (not required but encouraged).
• Interest in pursuing a career in aerospace or advanced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Attend in-person classes from Monday to Thursday and complete independent study on Fridays.
• Complete all application and funding paperwork required for enrollment.
• Participate in hands-on training in machining, blueprint reading, precision measuring, and LEAN manufacturing.
• Engage in projects using tools and machines as part of the training.
• Achieve certifications including OSHA-10, First-Aid/CPR AED, and Forklift certification.
• Receive assistance with resume writing, job applications, and interview preparation.
• Work with a Career Navigation Team member for job search support and soft-skill development.
