About the position
The Metal Building Erector position at Ordell Construction involves the erection of pre-engineered metal buildings, focusing on safety, quality, and teamwork. The role requires skilled workers who can efficiently assemble various components of metal structures, ensuring precise installation and alignment.
Responsibilities
- Erecting prefabricated metal buildings, including the assembly of main frames, secondary framing, bracing, siding, and roofing.
- Hanging iron and sheeting roofs and walls, ensuring precise alignment and proper installation.
- Raising, positioning, and securing structural-steel members, including girders and columns, to complete building frameworks.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in metal building erection is preferred.
- Proficiency in hanging iron, sheeting roofs, and walls.
- Solid understanding of the assembly and erection of prefabricated building components (main frames, secondary framing, bracing, siding, and roofing).
- Ability to work safely at heights and use appropriate lifting equipment and tools.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a commitment to safety.
