About the position

As an Assistant Teacher at KinderCare Learning Companies, you will play a vital role in supporting children's education and development. You will assist teachers in implementing the curriculum and state Pre-K requirements, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. This position emphasizes collaboration with parents and center staff to achieve educational goals and foster positive relationships within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers with the implementation of KinderCare's curriculum and State Pre-K requirements.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
  • Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
  • Support the center's success by partnering with staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Meet state specific Pre-K guidelines for the role.
  • Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency and lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children.
  • Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
