About the position

The Pre-Press Technician/Graphic Designer role at a fast-paced printing company in San Francisco's Financial District involves designing and printing files provided by customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up files according to specifications and artwork, working efficiently under pressure, and managing multiple deadlines simultaneously. This full-time position may require occasional overtime and demands a minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and print files provided by customers.
• Set up files based on specifications and artwork provided by customers.
• Work efficiently and professionally under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Interpret customer requests and suggest solutions to problems as they arise.
• Manage requests from customers for printing projects via e-mail, telephone, and in person.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience in desktop design.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with wide format and poster printing.
• Familiarity with HP Indigo and SmartStream software is a plus.
• Experience with Fiery RIPs and high-speed digital printing equipment is a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities.

• Previous experience in the printing industry.
• Familiarity with HP Indigo, Fiery RIPs, oversize color plotters, and high-speed digital printing equipment.
