About the position
The Pre-Roll Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient and accurate operation of automated pre-roll machines. This role involves maintaining production standards, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform all pre-roll production activities including loading materials, operating preroll machine, quality checking, packaging, and labeling of large batches of products
- Perform loading, unloading, and assembly operations as required for pre-roll production machine and equipment
- Perform minor troubleshooting, minor machine repair, and basic preventative maintenance as instructed
- Strictly adhere to SOP's workflows and policies
- Follow all health and safety requirements and ensure Pre-Roll room/area remains organized and kept in a sanitary condition
- Identify, communicate, and share best practices
- Inspect finished pre-rolls for quality, consistency, and accuracy
- Ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications
- Identify and report any defects or inconsistencies
- Accurately weigh and measure product as needed
- Maintain accurate production records and logs
- Meet or exceed production targets and deadlines
- Optimize machine performance to maximize efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- Follow all company policies and regulatory requirements
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to management
- Follow all sanitation guidelines
- Load and unload raw materials into the machines
- Manage inventory of supplies and materials
- Properly store and handle finished products
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience operating automated machinery is highly desirable
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Prior experience in a regulated industry is a plus
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with specific pre-roll machine models
- Knowledge of cannabis industry regulations (if applicable)
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
