About the position

The Pre-Sales Engineer role at our client, an enterprise SaaS startup, focuses on enhancing employee performance and learning through digital motivation and gamification. This position involves collaborating with the sales team to understand customer needs, deliver tailored demonstrations, and support the sales process with technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Uncover true customer needs in partnership with Sales.
  • Lead discovery meetings and produce tailored demos.
  • Deliver Proofs of Concept to potential clients.
  • Develop and refine sales messaging and identify key deal-closing criteria.
  • Attend meetings with business development managers as a technical expert.
  • Create and author customer-specific business cases to support proposals.
  • Work closely with customers to devise effective solutions and ensure alignment with platform requirements.
  • Respond to RFPs and RFIs in conjunction with sales teams.
  • Present proposals to customers alongside sales team members.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a technical pre-sales position, particularly with large enterprises.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with SaaS and software systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • C-Level sales and support acumen, particularly selling to HR, Head of Sales, and Call Centers.
  • Ability to work in the Manhattan, NY office.
