About the position

AVEVA is seeking a Presales Solution Consultant to join our PI System and Information Platform Presales Team. This role is integral to the growth of the business within the region, providing critical solution, technical, and industry knowledge to support and develop new sales opportunities. The Presales Consultant will demonstrate the value of AVEVA's products, engage with prospects, and work closely with various internal teams to enhance customer trust and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver story-driven demonstrations of AVEVA products and technologies, including emerging technologies like Cloud, IoT, SaaS, Analytics, AI, and Machine Learning.
  • Contribute to the planning, creation, development, and delivery of demonstrations that confirm the value of our solutions.
  • Engage with prospects to understand their specific needs and lead the development of appropriate technical solutions.
  • Conduct value consulting workshops and proofs-of-value with partners and customers.
  • Build customer relationships and business plans to create opportunities and improve product sales.
  • Drive revenue growth by qualifying leads and supporting the development of the sales pipeline.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on major events and campaigns in the region.
  • Support customer queries regarding product selection and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with partners, system integrators, and third-party vendors for complex solutions.
  • Collect customer feedback for product enhancement.
  • Influence the team through peer support and mentoring, proposing novel approaches to improve team operations.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering related disciplines.
  • At least 3 years of experience in solution selling, business development, and/or a customer value creation role.
  • Over 3 years of industry experience in sectors such as power generation, utilities, water, oil and gas, mining, metals, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, facilities, transportation, and food and beverage.
  • Knowledge and experience with operations information data management software and asset reliability management software, e.g., AVEVA PI System, AVEVA Data Hub, or equivalent.
  • Strong information technology skills with deep software and hardware knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to investigate customer needs and problems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team and manage multiple commitments.
  • Excellent customer-facing and presentation skills for complex technical solutions.
  • Ability to translate technical topics into simple language for various audiences.
  • Enthusiasm for technology and sharing knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or with development staff to create demo applications.
  • Proficiency in English (required).
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

  • Experience in a Presales or Sales role with an understanding of the sales process.
  • Experience with a larger AVEVA operations portfolio of solutions.
