About the position

The Pre-Sales Generalist is responsible for providing technical solutions to both new and existing customers, focusing on hardware infrastructure, software, cloud solutions, and service offerings. This role involves managing the technical aspects of sales campaigns, collaborating with various teams, and establishing oneself as a technical thought leader for clients. The Pre-Sales Generalist will engage in pre-sales technical consultancy, identifying customer requirements, and supporting sales teams in proposal activities.

Responsibilities

  • Possess deep Datacenter Infrastructure, Enterprise Cloud Solutions and End User Computing expertise.
  • Attend meetings with customers to determine technical and business requirements.
  • Educate customers on features, specifications, and functionality of solutions.
  • Uncover customer business requirements and build strategic relationships.
  • Size and configure technical solutions professionally and timely.
  • Structure and produce compelling sales proposals and technical documentation.
  • Develop overall Technology Solutions including High Level Designs, Statements of Work, and Bill of Materials.
  • Create and deliver technical presentations at events and customer meetings.
  • Build productive relationships internally and externally, fostering collaboration.
  • Understand customer business drivers and risks.
  • Sell technical solutions with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Provide accurate management information including activity reports and project forecasts.
  • Collaborate with Pre-sales Solutions Specialists and Practice Managers to present solutions to customers.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years Pre-Sales experience preferred.
  • Previous VAR experience.
  • Data Center Architecture experience is required.
  • Professional communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working as a technical lead in a sales campaign.
  • Extensive knowledge of data center and IT solutions including storage, networking, compute, virtualization, data protection, and security.
  • Ability to execute under pressure and influence others to achieve results.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a good attitude and customer service obsession.
