About the position
The Pre-Sales Supermarket Executive at Sigma is responsible for promoting and selling Hispanic branded meats and cheeses to designated customers. This role involves direct customer interaction, order management, and supervision of sales representatives. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction and product availability.
Responsibilities
- Call designated customers, in-person or over the phone to take orders and provide customer service.
- Complete order process and scheduling; ensure orders are placed properly and customer commitments are communicated timely and accurately.
- Supervise Merchandisers and/or Brand Representatives; establish monthly objectives, provide feedback on hiring and disciplinary actions.
- Train and schedule Merchandisers and Brand Representatives; ensure performance levels are maintained in selling and promoting products.
- Coordinate and set up advertising and in-store promotions in collaboration with management.
- Check in-store displays for effectiveness and to ensure pricing matches current promotions.
- Check in-store product expiration dates to ensure product shelf-life.
- Communicate with the customer to ensure product flow and service levels are met; troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Provide paperwork support for Administration with inventory billing adjustments and reconciliations on returned product.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) + years of sales experience
- One (1) + year supervisory / leadership experience
