About the position
The Pre-Season Manager at H&R Block is responsible for executing recruiting campaigns for tax professionals, coordinating interviews, and supporting tax office associates in their professional development. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the tax office is well-staffed and that associates meet their continuing education requirements, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the tax office during the busy tax season.
Responsibilities
- Execute recruiting and calling campaigns for new and experienced tax professionals
- Recruit for the H&R Block Income Tax Course
- Coordinate and assist with interviews for Receptionists and Associate Team Leaders
- Support tax office associates in meeting continuing education requirements and increasing certification levels
- Plan and prepare for virtual or in-person tax office open houses
- Assist in execution of Ready to Serve activities
Requirements
- Prior related retail supervisor experience or equivalent
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lead and influence
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn and master other computer applications quickly
- Desire to develop others along the H&R Block career path
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or high school diploma with equivalent experience
- 2 years of multi-unit retail store management
- Prior experience in an office manager position
