The Low Voltage Field Professional is responsible for tasks associated with installing and trimming low voltage wiring for access control, video systems including CCTV, data, home theaters, and intrusion systems. This position operates in residential and commercial construction environments. The low voltage field professional is a member of the operations department. Essential job functions include maintaining a clean-cut and professional appearance, demonstrating physical ability to perform various tasks, possessing basic construction and electronic skills, and being capable of reading and understanding blueprints and schematics. The role requires regular attendance, availability for work Monday through Saturday, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. The position also necessitates a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and fluency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety for yourself and your fellow team members.
  • Perform installation, trim, and commissioning of wiring and equipment for security, audio, video, access control, and data lines.
  • Complete assigned scopes of work at facilities ranging from existing and new construction homes, commercial businesses, and industrial facilities.
  • Exhibit good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Display strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently on assigned duties.
  • Conduct yourself with the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
  • Resolve customer issues and concerns.
  • Check-in with the supervisor each day to discuss production results and address any issues, questions, or concerns.
  • Document the outcome of each task or project using company provided tools.
  • Build relationships and promote excellent customer service, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Adapt to changing assignments and/or schedules. Work overtime when assigned to complete assigned jobs.
  • Perform essential job functions in an environment that may include increased levels of work-related stress.
  • Complete other projects, opportunities, and reports assigned by the supervisor.
  • Express a desire to actively learn systems, problem-solve, and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of low voltage/electrical experience.
  • Basic construction skills including drilling, cutting, measuring, and nailing.
  • Basic electronic skills including wire terminations and continuity testing.
  • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Possess basic tools for the position including screwdriver, drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips, pliers, hammer, cable stripper, flashlight, and gloves.
  • Demonstrate the physical ability to sit, stand, squat, crawl, walk, climb, kneel, bend, drive, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 45 pounds).
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Fluency in English.
