About The Position
The PREA Assessment Specialist is responsible for conducting intake and follow-up screenings under the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) for individuals in custody. This role involves assessing the risk of victimization and abusiveness, advising on housing needs, and collaborating with the PREA Compliance Officer and Coordinator to ensure compliance with PREA standards. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of trauma-informed care, mental health, and the LGBTQI population.
