The pay for this position is $15 per hour, and candidates should be prepared for flexible work hours, including the possibility of working long hours, nights, and weekends with little to no notice during peak times. A typical day as a Precinct Service Clerk involves various responsibilities, including scheduling poll workers for orientation, assisting with poll worker training, entering data for poll worker election assignments, and providing support on Election Day. Additionally, the clerk will work on sponsored registration drives to recruit poll workers and procure polling places. Occasional travel to polling sites is required, and candidates must have their own vehicle, as mileage will be reimbursed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in data entry and administration in an office setting
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
• Familiarity with computers and ability to learn new computer programs
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work extended hours including evenings and weekends
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
• Must have own vehicle for travel to polling sites
