About the position

The Preconstruction Project Manager at Samet is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and conducting various preconstruction services for institutional, commercial, and industrial facilities. This role emphasizes teamwork and innovation, allowing associates to make empowered decisions and contribute to project success.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantitative surveys, life cycle cost analysis studies, and value engineering studies for mechanical/plumbing/electrical systems.
  • Assist team members with civil, architectural, and structural preconstruction services as required.
  • Develop the CPM project schedule.
  • Prepare written scopes of work and conduct detailed plan and specification reviews.
  • Conduct field inspections and coordinate project delivery.

Requirements

  • A BS degree in a construction-related field (civil engineering, construction management, construction technology, etc.) is required.
  • 3-5 years of estimating experience in a construction environment.
  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Office software including MS Word and MS Excel is required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of Sage Estimating Software is preferred.
  • Previous experience in estimating/project management is preferred.
  • Experience in preparing detailed energy modeling studies is preferred.
  • LEED Accredited Professional is preferred.
  • Primavera software scheduling experience is a plus.
