About the position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Premises Paralegal to join our legal team at Farah & Farah, P.A. In this role, you will support attorneys by performing a wide range of tasks related to personal injury litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience in property law and a strong understanding of legal documentation related to premises and personal injury. As a Premises Paralegal, you will support our legal department by handling a range of tasks related to property transactions, lease agreements, and regulatory compliance. In this position, you will assist attorneys with all phases of personal injury litigation, including pre-trial preparation, trial, and post-trial activities. You will conduct legal research and gather evidence to support case strategies, including medical records, accident reports, and witness statements. Drafting and preparing legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also file and manage legal documents in court, ensuring compliance with all procedural deadlines and requirements. Your role will involve coordinating with clients, medical professionals, and expert witnesses to obtain necessary information and documentation. You will review and summarize medical records, accident reports, and other case-related documents, assist in the preparation of discovery responses, and manage the discovery process, including organizing and reviewing evidence. Additionally, you will prepare case files and exhibits for depositions, hearings, and trials, and maintain and update case management systems with case details, deadlines, and correspondence. Communication with clients to provide updates on case status, schedule appointments, and address any questions or concerns will also be part of your duties. Finally, you will support attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing trial exhibits and preparing trial notebooks.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must have 5+ years experience as a paralegal, with a strong background in Premises - Personal Injury law.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing, with experience drafting legal documents and pleadings.
  • Knowledge of personal injury litigation procedures and familiarity with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling case-related documents and information.
  • Proficiency in using case management software, legal research tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to work under pressure/deadlines and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously; self-motivated.
  • Outstanding time-management and typing skills.
  • Professional presentation in attire, demeanor, appearance, and compliance to company dress code.
  • Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification preferred.
