About The Position

The Premium Operations Coordinator at Symetra plays a crucial role in the processing and management of new business and in-force funds received on a daily basis. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks across various divisions efficiently. The coordinator is responsible for reviewing both paper and electronic funds to ensure their negotiability and accurately entering them into the appropriate systems. This role also involves reconciling processed funds with entries in the administrative system, making necessary adjustments, and problem-solving to resolve any discrepancies that may arise. The Premium Operations Coordinator must be adaptable to fluctuating volumes of work and be able to learn new systems quickly. In addition to the core responsibilities, the coordinator will assist with various administrative tasks and projects as needed, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time. The role requires strong research and analytical skills, as well as effective written and verbal communication abilities to work collaboratively with team members. The position is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. Some experience in accounting or bookkeeping, along with knowledge of life or retirement products, is preferred but not mandatory.
