About the position

As a Brand Ambassador for a premium rum brand, you will play a crucial role in creating unforgettable brand experiences that resonate with consumers and industry professionals alike. Your primary focus will be on marketing and commercial sales, where you will serve as a dedicated brand expert in the assigned market. This position requires a blend of creativity, relationship-building, and strategic thinking to drive brand awareness and growth. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with accounts, trade partners, and distributors, ensuring that the brand is well-represented and advocated for in the market. In this role, you will be expected to increase brand visibility through menu placements and general distribution, while also fostering strong relationships with key industry personnel. Your entrepreneurial mindset will be essential as you motivate and inspire others about the brand, educating them on its history, production processes, and unique qualities. You will also have the opportunity to develop innovative cocktail solutions that highlight the brand's individuality across various account types. Presentation skills are vital, as you will be required to speak confidently in front of crowds, delivering engaging and informative presentations in both English and Spanish. Additionally, you will manage administrative responsibilities, including budgeting and project management, ensuring that you stay organized and meet all goals effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong moral character and a commitment to social responsibility, reflecting the values of the brand and the company.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a dedicated brand expert and resource focused on all things brand related in the assigned market.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with accounts, trade, and distributor partners.
  • Increase brand awareness and growth through menu placements, distribution, and advocacy for the brand.
  • Drive brand awareness and affinity in key accounts and general distribution.
  • Motivate and inspire key industry personnel about the brands while fostering relationships and brand support.
  • Educate key consumer and trade stakeholders about all aspects of the brands, including brand history and heritage, and the production/distillation process.
  • Develop innovative cocktail solutions that leverage each brand's individuality across various account types.
  • Deliver presentations in a captivating and articulate manner in both English and Spanish.
  • Manage time effectively and balance budgets to accomplish all goals.
  • Stay organized, multitask, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred, but not required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish at a proficient to fluent level is a plus.
  • Experience with sales and/or distributor teams is a plus, or must demonstrate potential to learn.
  • Passionate about the beverage industry, particularly the rum category, with an understanding of trends and innovations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Formal mixology training and experience preferred, but not required.
  • Credibility with trade due to a bartender background, known/respected locally.
  • Knowledge of Latin American and Caribbean culture and customs is a plus.
