About the position

The Prep Cook at Merus Restaurant plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality, scratch-made wood-fired cuisine in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position emphasizes teamwork, communication, and adherence to food safety standards while contributing to an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Execute proper food recipes and follow company specifications.
  • Maintain a clean station and workspace.
  • Follow proper sanitation protocols.
  • Perform opening and closing cleaning duties.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff including assemblers and management.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age to operate kitchen equipment.
  • Experience and knowledge of kitchen equipment including knives, slicer, mixer, stoves, and ovens required.
  • Previous kitchen/culinary/chef experience is preferred but not required.
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts.
