About the position

As a Prep Cook at Red Lobster, you will play a vital role in our kitchen by preparing delicious seafood dishes for our guests. This position is essential for ensuring that food items are prepped correctly and that the kitchen remains clean and organized. You will be responsible for food storage and ensuring that the correct ingredients are readily available for our culinary team, which is crucial for maintaining the high standards of our restaurant. Your contributions will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests, as you work alongside a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to cross-train and work in multiple positions within the kitchen, embodying our philosophy of ONE Kitchen. This flexibility will not only enhance your skills but also allow you to become an expert in all Heart of House roles. You will be expected to multi-task effectively, stay organized, and follow recipes accurately to assist in creating our signature dishes. The position requires you to be on your feet for several hours, lift and carry up to 45 pounds, and withstand higher temperatures while performing various kitchen tasks. Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to cross-train and work in multiple positions.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow recipes and assist in food preparation.
  • Physical ability to remain on feet for several hours, lift and carry up to 45 pounds, and withstand higher temperatures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Culinary education or training is a plus.
