About the position

The Kitchen Worker at Four Queens Hotel and Casino is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen by washing dishes, cutlery, pots, and other cooking utensils. This role ensures that all kitchen items are delivered to the appropriate areas and that the kitchen meets production and quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Wash dishes, cutlery, pots, and other cooking utensils.
  • Deliver dishes, silver, glassware, and other utensils to the appropriate areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the immediate work area.
  • Operate dishwashing and silver burnishing equipment.
  • Handle and load china and glassware carefully to minimize breakage.
  • Transport dishes and utensils as needed.
  • Clean floors, walls, ceilings, and equipment in food preparation areas.
  • Prepare, wash, peel, and cut various food items for cooking or serving.
  • Ensure guest orders are properly portioned and wrapped for service.
  • Inform supervisors of low supplies or equipment issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Health Card license.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to meet production and quality standards.
  • Ability to withstand frequent temperature changes and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push carts weighing up to 200 pounds.
