About the position

The Prepared Foods Team Member I plays a crucial role in the Prepared Foods Department by assisting leaders in delivering an exceptional customer experience through food production, stocking, and maintenance of the store. This position focuses on ensuring high-quality food preparation and cleanliness, contributing to a welcoming environment for customers.

Responsibilities

• Follow food recipes as written
• Ensure prepared foods meet recipe standards of quality, consistency, look and taste
• Pack-out, label and stock product to standard
• Ensure all food stations are clean, stocked, full fresh and delicious at all times
• Participate in periodic department inventories
• Package, weigh, and price product

Requirements

• Familiarity with natural foods, vegan and vegetarian cuisine as well as organic vs commercial growing practices
• Available to work weekends, holidays, mornings and nights
• Regular, predictable attendance
• Projects an outgoing, friendly personality
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and follow a recipe
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment (i.e. mixers, commercial ovens, dishwasher)
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Excellent problem solving and multitasking skills
