About the position

The Graphic Designer/Pre-Press Graphic Designer/Digital Prepress Technician role is essential for a fast-paced printing company located in San Francisco's Financial District. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and printing files provided by customers, setting up files according to specifications, and managing multiple deadlines efficiently. This full-time position requires the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Design and print files provided by customers.
• Set up files based on specifications and artwork provided by customers.
• Work efficiently and professionally under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Interpret customer requests and suggest solutions to problems as they arise.
• Manage requests from customers for printing projects via e-mail, telephone, and in person.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience in desktop design.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with wide format and poster printing.
• Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with HP Indigo and SmartStream software.
• Experience with Fiery RIPs and high-speed digital printing equipment.
