About the position

The Prerelease Operations/Facility Manager position at the Montana Department of Corrections is a pivotal role aimed at enhancing public safety and reducing recidivism through effective rehabilitation programs. This position is responsible for the overall operation of a prerelease center located in Kalispell, MT. In the initial 6 to 9 months, the manager will focus on facility readiness and program development, which includes a variety of tasks such as managing offender residential services, ensuring facility and community security, and overseeing case management services. The role also involves the delivery of treatment and programming, community outreach, staffing the facility, and addressing infrastructure needs. Once the facility is operational, the manager will take on the role of facility administrator, responsible for all aspects of the facility's operations, including staff and offender supervision, facility safety, and service delivery. This position is crucial for creating a safer Montana through accountability, rehabilitation, and empowerment, and it offers an opportunity to make a positive impact in the community.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a relevant field.
