About the position
The Sales Systems Engineer Intern at Motorola Solutions plays a crucial role in delivering innovative communications solutions that address the situational awareness challenges faced by customers, particularly in the public safety sector. This position involves collaborating with customers and the sales team to design and implement end-to-end solutions, ensuring that technical designs meet customer needs. The intern will work within a team of engineers and sales professionals to support various mission-critical communications technologies.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with customers and the sales team to deliver customer-driven solutions.
- Conduct customer requirements discovery to understand their needs.
- Develop technology strategies that align with customer requirements.
- Design end-to-end system architecture for proposed solutions.
- Create and develop proposals for customer solutions.
- Deliver internal and external technical presentations to stakeholders.
- Conduct equipment and software solution demonstrations, including configuration and testing.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- General knowledge of IT network and computer architecture.
- Understanding of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures, particularly in public and private sectors (e.g., APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 4G/5G).
- Strong written and oral communication skills to present complex topics effectively.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with mission-critical communications technologies.
- Familiarity with public safety mobile broadband networks and devices.
