About the position

The Presales Technical Account Manager for Automotive Suppliers at Siemens Software plays a crucial role in engaging with customers to understand their business and technical requirements. This position is responsible for architecting solutions within the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, developing sales strategies, and leading pursuit teams to deliver compelling customer experiences. The role requires a deep understanding of the automotive industry and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients while guiding them in selecting appropriate technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and build a trusted advisor relationship with clients and sales executives.
  • Oversee and guide clients in selecting appropriate solutions and technology suites.
  • Gather and advise customers on high-level business and technical requirements.
  • Provide guidance on the technical capabilities and business value of Siemens solutions.
  • Lead the development and delivery of presentations, demonstrations, and proposals.
  • Regularly interact with customer leadership to become a trusted advisor.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of Siemens' digital enterprise product design and manufacturing portfolio.
  • Manage customer technical queries and coordinate resources to respond.
  • Support account orchestrators and pre-sales resources in defining and executing sales opportunities.
  • Lead the construction of collateral for client requests for information and proposals.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Must reside in the continental USA, preferably in the greater Detroit, MI area.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills that positively influence teams.
  • At least 7+ years of technical experience in PLM space, including managing proof of concepts.
  • At least 5+ years of industry experience in Automotive and/or Automotive Suppliers.
  • At least 5+ years of work experience in a technical role within an Automotive or Automotive supplier company.
  • BS/BA in an engineering or manufacturing-related discipline.
  • Self-starter, motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience leading and managing teams of technical and business consultants.
  • Open to an average of 50% travel, almost exclusively domestic.

Nice-to-haves

  • Multiple years of experience in the Automotive Industry.
  • 5+ years of expertise in the digital enterprise space.
  • Proven success in an Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering role in the Automotive industry.
  • Ability to present technology solutions effectively to groups.
  • Experience with executive-level engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of change and configuration management.
