About the position

The Preschool Administrator / Operations Manager at Tiny Green Trees Nature-Based Child Care Center & Forest School is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the center, ensuring compliance with safety and licensing standards, and fostering a supportive environment for both children and staff. This role is essential for maintaining high-quality childcare services and driving innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety and licensing standards.
• Mentor, train, and support staff to foster high performance and teamwork.
• Analyze systems and develop, implement strategies to enhance productivity.
• Ensure state-regulated child-to-staff ratios and oversee kitchen and food service operations.
• Manage communications with families, organize events, and conduct tours and orientations.
• Maintain the physical center environment, including inspections and inventory management.
• Oversee training, performance reviews, and staff development initiatives.
• Lead staff meetings, family events, and administrative collaboration to foster a positive culture.

Requirements

• Registry Level 12 or higher
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Required state certifications (CPR/First Aid, Childcare Director Certification)
• Experience in childcare management or operations leadership
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Successful completion of a background check and required health screenings

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in nature-based education
• Knowledge of DCF Rules and Regulations for Licensed Group Centers
