About the position

The Malvern School is currently seeking an Assistant Teacher for the Preschool classroom at The Malvern School of Montgomeryville, PA. This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, career-oriented teacher with a passion for Early Childhood Education. The Assistant Teacher will assist in the implementation of a superior Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and the Malvern School philosophy. This role involves maintaining a safe, healthy, and educational environment for the class, as well as communicating regularly with parents, both in person and through the use of technology, to meet or exceed parent expectations. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of a superior Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and Malvern School philosophy.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and educational environment for the class.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, in person and through the use of technology, meeting or exceeding parent expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and be at least 18 years of age.
  • At least 2500 hours (1 year, 4 months) of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility OR 15 relevant college credits (or CDA) and at least 1250 hours (8 months) documented experience with young children in a licensed facility.
  • Must be (or be willing to start) pursuing a CDA (Child Development Associate) OR a degree in the field.
