Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing a developmentally appropriate creative curriculum
- Foster each child's self-confidence, learning, and growth
- Clean and disinfect classroom materials, classroom environment, and common areas
- Prepare meals and clean up
- Maintain appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of the children
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and cohesive educational program
- Attend training sessions to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
Requirements
- Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or a degree in Early Childhood Education is required
- A minimum of 2 years of childcare experience in a classroom setting is required
- A positive attitude, patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
- A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs, move and exercise with the children, and stand for long periods
- Must pass a health screening
