About the position

The Preschool Gymnastics Coordinator at the YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown is responsible for providing safe, educational, and enjoyable gymnastics classes for preschool-aged children. This part-time role involves planning structured activities, ensuring participant safety, and maintaining communication with parents and staff. The position requires a strong background in gymnastics instruction and leadership, with a focus on fostering a positive learning environment for young gymnasts.

Responsibilities

• Plan structured class activities to stimulate the growth and development of participants utilizing YMCA values.
• Assure the safety of program participants and maintain a safe environment.
• Communicate intentionally with parents/participants regarding the progress of the gymnast.
• Maintain cleanliness of the gymnastics area and set up and clean up before and after each class.
• Write lesson plans to ensure classes run smoothly and each child has the opportunity for advancement.
• Give suggestions/recommendations for obstacle courses.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
• Effectively communicate between staff, parents, and supervisor.
• Assist in the running of the Preschool Gymnastics Exhibition and Fun Meet.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching and coaching gymnastics.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching preschool gymnastics classes independently.
• Leadership experience.
• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to relate to and work with diverse groups of people in a friendly and consistent manner.
• Proficient use of tablets, computers, and computer functions including Microsoft Windows and Office.
