About the position
The Preschool Gymnastics Instructor role is designed for individuals who are passionate about teaching gymnastics and related physical activities to young children. The instructor will create a positive and safe learning environment, focusing on skill development and fostering a love for physical activity among students of various ages and skill levels.
Responsibilities
- Instruct gymnastics classes for various age groups and skill levels, focusing on technique, safety, and skill development.
- Follow lesson plans that incorporate physical education principles and behavior management strategies.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Ensure all gym equipment is safe and properly maintained before and after use.
- Create an engaging atmosphere that promotes teamwork, discipline, and respect among students.
- Maintain open communication with students and their families regarding progress and any concerns.
Requirements
- Previous experience in gymnastics instruction or related fields such as karate, judo, or martial arts is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physical education principles and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to perform physical demonstrations as required by the curriculum.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on educating students effectively.
- Certification in first aid is a plus but not mandatory.
- A passion for working with children and promoting a healthy lifestyle through physical activity.
