About the position

The Preschool & Infant & Toddler Teachers at Redlands Child Development Center are responsible for creating a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. This role involves ensuring the health, safety, and supervision of all children while working collaboratively as part of a teaching team. Teachers are expected to develop and implement weekly lesson plans and maintain a supportive atmosphere for children's growth and learning.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing and supportive environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
• Ensure the health, safety, and supervision of all children in the classroom.
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans tailored to children's developmental needs.
• Work collaboratively as part of a teaching team, demonstrating a cooperative attitude.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including obtaining necessary certifications.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 Child Development units including core and infant/toddler units.
• Qualification for or possession of a minimum Associate Teacher Child Development Permit or higher, or willingness to continue education to meet requirements.
• Ability to develop and implement weekly lesson plans.
• Experience with DRDP assessments preferred or willingness to learn quickly.
• Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification required or to be obtained.
• Physical ability to work with children, including bending, twisting, and lifting at least 40 lbs.
• Flexibility with classroom assignments and work hours.
• Proof of or exemption from immunizations for measles and whooping cough, and passing a TB & health screening.
