About the position

The Preschool Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring compliance with state licensing standards and company policies. This role involves managing staff, maintaining communication with parents, and fostering a safe and educational environment for children. The Preschool Manager plays a crucial role in the development of the school's curriculum and staff training, while also contributing to the overall profitability and positive image of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director with the operation of the school, ensuring compliance with licensing standards and policies.
  • Complete all required paperwork and record keeping in an organized manner.
  • Develop and maintain positive communication with parents.
  • Ensure appropriate implementation of the school curriculum in assigned classrooms.
  • Create an educational, caring, and safe environment for children and parents.
  • Teach, educate, and monitor children as needed.
  • Assist in staff development and training in curriculum and early childhood education principles.
  • Handle assorted fiscal responsibilities under the guidance of the Campus Director.
  • Promote the positive image of the company and contribute to its reputation as a provider of choice in educational programs.
  • Help achieve profitability for the company.
  • Manage human resources functions in assigned classrooms or areas.
  • Assist with marketing efforts under the guidance of the Campus Director.

Requirements

  • Must meet or exceed state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • 2-3 years of child care experience or education in early childhood or a related field.
  • Qualified to drive company vehicles and obtain a CDL license.
  • CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree preferred in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Willingness to attain state mandated Director requirements.
