About the position
A Step Ahead Soccer is seeking a dynamic and experienced Preschool Soccer Coach to join their part-time enrichment program. This role focuses on delivering an interactive, adventure-based soccer curriculum tailored for preschool-aged children, enhancing their physical fitness and academic readiness through play-based learning. Coaches will lead engaging sessions that incorporate storytelling and soccer skills, aiming to positively impact young children's lives while promoting an active lifestyle.
Responsibilities
- Lead interactive soccer sessions for preschool-aged children (ages 2 to 5).
- Implement a curriculum that combines soccer skills with storytelling and school readiness activities.
- Manage groups of young children effectively during sessions.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, and social development through physical activity.
- Prepare children for kindergarten through engaging and enjoyable learning experiences.
Requirements
- Experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Background in sports coaching or physical education.
- Ability to manage groups of young children effectively.
- Must have a cell phone and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Nice-to-haves
- Soccer experience is a bonus but not required.
- Child development knowledge or certification.
