Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of teachers to execute daily plans.
• Support the vision of the head teacher and goals set forth by school leadership.
• Assist the team in preparing materials and supplies in advance.
• Set up and maintain a safe, healthy, and happy learning environment.
• Supervise children during activities.
• Teach small groups in subjects such as handwriting, math, and literacy in a developmentally appropriate manner.
• Abide by all school policies and procedures.
• Model joyfulness throughout the day.

Requirements

• Substitute Teaching Certification
• Teaching Certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelor's degree
• Documented experience working with young children (early childhood classroom teaching experience preferred)
• Strong writing skills
• Cordial and professional communication skills (orally and in writing)
• Ability to maintain calm during potentially challenging or stressful situations
• Full range of motion and ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
