About the position

Children Central is seeking a full-time Pre-Kindergarten Teacher Assistant to support our top-rated Preschool Program. This role involves assisting in a nurturing and engaging classroom environment for children aged 4-5, helping them prepare for kindergarten both academically and socially. Responsibilities

• Make the day a LOT OF FUN for our children!
• Prepare the class well for kindergarten both academically and socially.
• Work closely with other educators in the classroom to create a nurturing environment.
• Develop a creative, fun, and entertaining program suitable for the Pre-K class by following the professional curriculum called Funnydaffer.
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, singing, dancing, art projects, etc.) to teach the students.
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional conflicts.
• Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and DHS safety standards.
• Document daily activities on the app; take photos and videos to send to families.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a preschool or early childhood setting.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with young children and their parents.
• Proficiency in lesson planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities.
• Experience in classroom management and creating a nurturing learning environment.
• Familiarity with early childhood education curriculum development and best practices.

Nice-to-haves

• AA/BA in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or currently pursuing an education degree.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) certification.
