About the position

The Preschool Teacher Assistant at Holy Trinity Child Care Center plays a vital role in supporting the lead teachers in providing quality child care and educational opportunities for children aged 18 months to 5 years. This position involves engaging with children, ensuring their safety, and maintaining a conducive learning environment while collaborating with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Safely supervise and assist children with activities of daily life
• Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean, organized, and safe
• Assist the lead teacher in implementing curriculum and daily activities
• Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Further education with at least 12 Child Development Units or concurrent enrollment in college, with 6 Child Development units completed and actively pursuing completion of the remaining 6 units
• Current negative TB test and Required Immunizations
• Clear Criminal Record and Background Check
• Up-to-Date Child CPR and First Aid Certification
• Communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers, students, and parents
