About the position
The Early Preschool Teacher at Lionheart Children's Academy is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing developmental and spiritual programs for a classroom of children. This role emphasizes creating a positive and safe learning environment while adhering to educational standards and fostering professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and implement programs for the class in accordance with the Academy Director and curriculum coordinator.
- Engage students in learning using a variety of instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Maintain a respectful, positive, safe, and student-centered learning environment.
- Demonstrate understanding of the curriculum and developmental needs of children by providing relevant learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively and participate in professional growth to enhance student learning.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED certificate required.
- Early education BA, AA, or CDA highly preferred.
- Previous experience in a state licensed facility or 24 hours of documented pre-service training required.
- Experience working in children's ministry is a plus.
- Must maintain First-Aid and CPR certification during employment.
