About the position
The First Methodist Church of China Grove's Early Learning Center is seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to provide exceptional care and education to young children. This full-time position involves collaborating with staff to create a nurturing environment that supports children's learning and development while ensuring a safe and sanitary space.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director and other staff in curriculum planning and center activities
- Attend staff meetings and staff training
- Demonstrate flexibility in matching individual children's learning skills with various activities
- Evaluate teaching through children's level of understanding
- Provide a sanitary work environment and teach the children safe hygiene practices
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience in early childhood education (preferred)
- Criminal Background Check through NC DCDEE (required)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop and squat at least 95% of the day
