Preschool Teacher

About the position

The Preschool Teacher at Little Dreamers Preschool is responsible for creating and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of children aged birth to five years. This role involves maintaining a nurturing and organized classroom environment, collaborating with staff on curriculum planning, and ensuring the well-being of children during various activities, including meals and personal care.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines and goals.
• Plan individual and group learning activities designed to meet instructional objectives and students' needs.
• Prepare for assigned classes and show evidence of preparation upon request of supervisory personnel.
• Participate with other staff members in curriculum planning during designated meetings.
• Maintain classrooms and program materials clean and well organized.
• Help children with toileting, diapering, supervise lunch, and prepare and serve snacks.
• Perform daily record keeping.
• Track and communicate progress regularly for parents.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of experience working with children birth to five years.
• AA or BA degrees in Child Development or a minimum of 12 Child Development units required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Proof of negative TB test and background clearance via live scan.
